 150th Anniversary (1856 - 2006)
It was the year 1856. James Buchanan was elected President. Political changes were taking place with the Whig party falling and the Republican party taking root in Philadelphia. The seeds were being planted for what was to become the Civil War five years later. These were just a few of the major events of that year.
This was also the year the Wisconsin Classes organized what is now known as First Reformed Church. Of the many things that have risen and fallen over the past 150 years, we are still going strong! We thank God for what he has provided to us in this 150 year stretch, and pray for his strength and guidance as we continue our journey into the years that are to follow.
Reminisce with us now as we take a look back at 150 years of First Reformed Church. On the afternoon of Sunday July 23rd 2006, a 33 minute video program showcasing the history and current state of First Reformed Church was presented to the congregation and visitors attending this special occasion. It is with pleasure that we present this program in it's entirety for you to relive, or to see for the first time. You can see each segment individually, or you can play the entire program all at once.
