Fast For Food at First Reformed Church
Day 2 (February 23rd, 2006)
On the following day, members of First Reformed Church were outside placing the crosses into the snow-covered ground. The snapshots below show the work being performed, and later in the day when the crosses were up.
When the above picture was taken, it was unusually quiet. Only the sound of a light breeze could be detected; there was no traffic moving about at the time. The work in preparation for the symbolism these crosses were to signify was complete, ready in time for the 30 hour famine to begin the next day.
