Core Values of First Reformed Church
Being Authentic

Authentic Growth: In a Biblically functioning community Biblical truth under the power of the Holy Spirit crosses paths with a congregation that's full of receptive hearts, and amazing life-change takes place.

Authentic Prayer: A Biblical church gathers together for the sole purpose of spending time before the Throne of Grace asking that His will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Authentic Fellowship: In a Biblically functioning community life-changing fellowship takes place. Fellowship where masks come off, conversations get deep, hearts get vulnerable, lives are shared, accountability is invited, tenderness flows, others' burdens are shouldered and lives are revolutionized.

Authentic Evangelism: A Biblically functioning community reaches out to spiritually confused people and helps them understand and respond to Jesus Christ. A Biblically functioning community not only has a "heart" for lost souls but also develops a strategy for reaching them. The disciple Matthew was so concerned about his former tax-gathering friends that he invited them to a party with Jesus.

Authentic Stewardship: In a Biblically functioning community those with resources are outrageously generous. So much so that they even sell their possessions.

Authentic Service: In a Biblically functioning community the priesthood of all believers is practiced in such a way that people diligently do ministry based upon their spiritual maturity. Leaders, lead, teachers, teach, encouragers, encourage, givers, give, helpers, help, administrators, administrate, etc...
